Anyone for chocolate?

I've been 'rediscovering' my old stamps and found this one that hasn't seen ink for years!  No idea what make it is, it's long since lost it's original wrapping!
I have to totally agree with the sentiment ... nothing nicer than a big mug of tea and even bigger bar of choccie!  (I might have changed my mind about this when I face the music later at Slimming World LOL!)

Image coloured with copic markers, and clear gloss added to his glasses and wheels on the chair.

Hoppy Easter

No challenge this week at High Hopes. Instead we have a fabulous Easter Parade for you, with lots of inspiration for your Easter cards.  Pop over to High Hopes to see more, there are some seriously cute bunnies on show!!

My card uses Easter Bunny Stack - I haven't put anything in their plaque yet as I haven't decided if I'm personalising this, or just might write 'With Love' or something.

I'm still practising with my pencils on this one!  Added some glitter to highlight bits on the eggs and their bow ties, and clear gloss to their noses.

Other Challenges:

One Stop Craft #217 - for the kids

Funny Bunny

Urgh, Sunday evenings come round waaaaay too quickly!   We've had another glorious sunny day, but so cold ... we were at the park this morning (even our local duck pond had a layer of ice on it), Mum's for dinner, a wee afternoon of crafting, then back down to Mum's again for tea and a play with my nephew and niece.  Back home and now in my PJs and a nice evening's viewing on the telly.  What a lovely relaxing day!

I've had another play with my Paper Smooches stamps - popped my sentiment and bunny up on dimensionals and added clear gloss to his eyes and teeth.  Blue gems added for a wee bit of sparkle.

CAS Doggy

Oh BRRRRRR it's such a cold evening here.  We've  had flakes of snow falling all day (not enough to lie) and a real hard freeze tonight.  Where did Spring disappear to?   Ruby loves it though when the grass is frozen and crunchy ... has a good roll in it and goes a bit daft.  Silly dog.

This doggy is from an old Artemo set - stamped him on my white CS, popped another layer up on dimensionals and then his head again.  Sentiment and wee heart (with added red stickles) from Paper Smooches.  Wee silver domed stickers from stash.

High Hopes challenge #164

This week's challenge at High Hopes is to use
Grey or Silver
So you can use grey or silver as your base colours, or simply pick out some elements in your card ... I've coloured my wee dog grey and added some silver eyelets!  Easy peasy!

My card uses some oldie stamps from High Hopes - Time Well Spent (coloured with pencils and glitter added to highlights in the water) and  Gone Fishin sentiment (minus the fish as I ran out of room!)

Hope you'll play along with your High Hopes stamps .... if you're not in you can't win LOL!

Xmas card #3

We had a lovely Spring-like day today, no sun, but no rain!  I even got my washing out on the line for the first time in months, and the birdies are tweeting like mad.

So, I thought I'd plough on with my Christmas cards (work that logic out LOL!)  This stamp is Ski Bum Snowy from High Hopes, coloured with pencils and flower soft added to his hat.
Marianne Design and Memory Box dies.

Happy Anniversary

I'm just watching a fascinating programme on Ch4 about our crappy weather last year.  The UK had the wettest year ever - it started raining in April and basically forgot to stop!  Having said that, we'd the most beautiful winter's day today, nice and crisp and cold.  But guess what's on the forecast for tomorrow? .... yip, rain!

I'm going to be making more of my cards using pencils to colour in as markers have got to be so expensive, and times are tight!  So I've plenty of practice to get in!

This card uses a lovely Lily of the Valley stamp - I added the heart from a Paper Smooches set, but wish I hadn't as the lines on that image are a lot thicker than the main image.  Sentiment is an oldie from Elzybells (now closed)

Papertake Weekly - hearts and flowers
Top Tip Tuesday - let me call you sweetheart
My top tip .... if you don't have the right colour of cardstock to frame your image, use some plain white and just colour the edge in your desired colour with a marker (I've used a dark olive copic here)

Get Well with Lemonade!

Our new challenge at High Hopes this week is
Two by Two
(two people or animals)
Play along with your High Hopes stamps to win a new one of your choice!
(Oh, and if you're on Facebook, come join our High Hopes group here)

My card uses an oldie stamp - Drink Lemonade.  I always think this image is a good one for get well cards.  Don't ya just love the expression on the wee ant's face holding up the other dude, he's obviously heavier than he looks!
Coloured with copics and orange stickles added to the straw and to the orange on the side of the glass.
Paper Smooches sentiment.

Layout and drinks theme inspired by Muse Challenge #4

Greg's Valentine

Well we had a lovely time at Alexandra's party yesterday, lots of yummy stuff to eat (all calorie free of course LOL)
Though I've been gobsmacked to hear that my American friends don't know what 'pass the parcel' is!!  So Brenda this is for you .... wrap the main gift which is usually for the birthday girl/boy, and keep adding layers of different wrapping paper.  In each layer put a wee gift (pack of sweeties or small toy), make sure you've enough layers so that everyone at the party gets to unwrap at least one layer.  Then all the party goers sit in a circle, put the music on and start passing the parcel.  As soon as the person in charge of the music stops it, whoever is holding the parcel unwraps a layer and finds their wee gift, the music starts again and so it goes on!  Good fun.  (though you need to know what the paper is on the last layer so you know you're stopping the music at the right person!)

Anyway, this card is Greg's Valentine card.  I usually have a tough time making lovely dovey cards for blokes, but I like how this turned out.  Not sure of the make of the rabbit image, its an oldie (possibly Whipper Snapper?) Popped him up on dimensionals and added some red gems for a bit of bling.

Alex's birthday card

It's a horrible dark drizzly day here, but at least I've a lovely birthday party to go to later.  My wee niece is 3 already, can't hardly believe it!  So I'm hoping for plenty of jelly'n'ice cream and cake later, and maybe a wee game of pass the parcel Heee!

As usual, it's last minute for me and I made this wee card this morning so the glue is barely dry!  Image is an oldie from Bildmarina (sp?) Image and flowers/border coloured with promarkers. Silver peel off letters/number, butterfly and flower punches.

High Hopes Flower Challenge

It's Tuesday, so it's challenge time at High Hopes ... a nice easy one:
Flowers!
You need to use High Hopes stamps to play along, and you've the chance to win a new stamp of your choice.
(Want to make a ribbon flower with a difference?  Check out Alie's tutorial on High Hopes blog - I'm definitely going to give this a try!)

My card uses an older image - Brayden. Isn't he adorable!  I've only a small packet of colouring pencils, so didn't have much choice for my browns ... his mane and tail have come out a bit ginger!
(not that there's anything wrong with ginger LOL!)

Xmas card #02

Here we are Sunday evening again, I can't believe how fast the weekends go!  No Fair!

I'm determined to stick at my Christmas cards this year, though I'll have to up my monthly output and do better than 1 a month!
This card was inspired by Janette, this week's featured stamper at Splitcoast - here's her original.  I used a different snowman, and die cut my snowflakes instead of heat embossing them (was a bit too much like hard work LOL)

Image: Homespun Hearts Snowy  from High Hopes - coloured with pencils and hat / hearts popped up on dimensionals.  Red glitter added to hearts/button/hat and clear gloss to his nose. Marianne snowflake die.

David's Birthday card

Heee, can you tell I haven't tidied my table!  Same DP pack and star dies and sentiment as the last card! :)
This one's for my brother ... he loves to cycle and I reckon if he could get his dog on the back of his bike he probably would!

Mmmm, roast chicken!

I'm back!  Mr Mojo has been on his hols for aaages, so hopefully he's here to stay for a while!
I had a day off yesterday and squeezed this wee card in before we went to the cinema to see Les Mis - what a fab film!  I doubt Slimming World will be pleased to see me this week though - we scoffed a great big bucket of popcorn, followed by fish'n'chips for tea, and then a few drinkies in the evening.  Oops!

Talking of grub, doesn't my wee chef look very pleased with his roast chicken!  This is from High Hopes recent 'Senior Moments' release - Chef Pierre - coloured with copics and popped up on dimensionals.  I've also used my wee star dies from Die-namics, they seem to be a favourite when I'm making blokey cards!
